The View from The Shard

Ready to find out more?

The View from the Shard opened to the public in 2013; designed by Master Architect Renzo Piano, at a height of 1,016ft (310m) the Shard redefines London’s skyline and is now a dynamic symbol of London, recognisable throughout the world.

The View is situated at the top of the Shard, the tallest building in Western Europe on floors 68, 69 and 72. The name ‘Shard’ comes from its sculpted design which consists of glass facets that incline inwards but do not meet at the top and open to the sky to allow the building to breathe naturally.

The View experience is a high-tech and multi-sensory journey, with exhilarating 360° views previously unseen, stretching 40 miles across the city.  At a height of 800ft (244m), The View is almost twice the height of any other viewing platform in London, offering guests an unparalleled encounter with an incredible building surrounded by the creativity, history and culture of London.
